Getting Started

A clean, upgrade-safe way to start building with Versa.

Quick start

Start from a Versa template or a minimal HTML page. Load Bootstrap first, then Bootstrap Icons, Versa, and finally your project overrides.

<link href="/docs/assets/vendor/bootstrap-icons/bootstrap-icons.min.css" rel="stylesheet">
<link href="/docs/assets/versa/css/versa.css" rel="stylesheet">
<link href="/docs/assets/custom/custom.css" rel="stylesheet">

File structure

assets/vendor contains third-party dependencies, assets/versa is the theme layer, and assets/custom belongs to the site using Versa. Keeping these layers separate makes upgrades predictable.

JavaScript

Load bootstrap.bundle.min.js before versa.js. The bundle includes the dependencies required by Bootstrap interactive components.
